DT4GS Final Review Meeting: Showcasing 3 Years of Innovation for Decarbonising Green Shipping

The DT4GS (Digital Twin for Green Shipping) consortium held its Final Review Meeting on 7 July 2025, marking the formal conclusion of the project’s 36-month implementation period. The meeting brought together all project partners and the European Commission to present results, highlight achievements, and discuss the long-term impact of DT4GS on the maritime sector.

Over the course of the day, the consortium presented key technical developments, operational applications, and business-oriented insights drawn from five Living Labs. The meeting offered a comprehensive overview of the project’s outcomes, including:

  • Project Progress and Achievements, providing a consolidated view of the work carried out across all work packages and the evolution of DT4GS from concept to implementation.
  • A presentation on the components and functionalities of the DGS Open Industry Platform.
  • Insights into the project’s use cases and digital twin applications across diverse vessel types and operational needs.
  • Targeted presentations from each Living Lab, showcasing the real-world benefits of DT4GS tools in meeting specific decarbonisation goals.
  • A session dedicated to dissemination, capacity building, and the formation of the DGS Alliance to ensure the continuation of knowledge transfer and stakeholder collaboration beyond the project’s lifetime.

The meeting underscored the value of DT4GS in enabling a data-driven, interoperable, and industry-relevant approach to accelerating the transition toward zero-emission waterborne transport.

DT4GS has received funding from the Horizon Europe framework programme under Grant Agreement No 101056799.
